Marriage License in NJ - Please print out
and complete the marriage license application
form. You may also get an application form at
the Local Registrar's office.

non-genealogical records birth, death,
marriage, civil union and domestic
partnership.You must be able to fully identify
the record by providing all of the information
listed below on the application form. Your
request cannot be accepted unless you provide
the information below.

* For Marriage, Civil Union
or Domestic Partnership -- Instead of parents’
names, you must provide the name of the

Marriage Records from 1848 to
1878 - Data entry from May 1848 through 31
May 1867 is complete and includes exact date
and location of marriage verified from the
original county returns. Records from 1
June 1867 through 31 May 1878 are preliminary
and reflect only county of registration and
fiscal year (eg. 1870-1871). Marriage
date and exact location is being added for the
1867-1878 records as it is verified from the
original returns.
