Please note that marriage and divorce
records are held at the county level.
For certified copies of marriage
certificates, you must write to the County
Recorder in the county where the license was
purchased. For divorce records, you
must write to the County Clerk in the county
where the divorce was granted. Our
Office can search for and verify events
occurring after 1968 if you submit a request
containing the full name(s) of the person
whose record you are searching for, the
approximate date of the event and the city
where you believe the event occurred.
The fee for verification of a record is
$8.00 for each name searched. Find out

Marriage Records - To obtain a
certified copy of marriage certificates you
